  • KOSUN share: The “COVID-19” has less impact on Iran’s oil supply

    After Japan, South Korea, and Italy successively became the "severe disaster areas" for overseas epidemics, the epidemic situation in Iran, an important OPEC member, has become extremely serious, and even the Iranian vice president has been diagnosed with the infection. Iran is currently the world's fourth-largest oil-producing country, and at the same time “sits” the Hormuz Strait, an oil maritime throat. The spread of the new crown epidemic in the country has caused widespread concern in the international community about the oil market. However, the outbreak may not have a major impact on Iran ’s own oil supply.

     
    First of all, due to multiple factors such as the oil blockade, economic sanctions and the chaotic regional security situation, the Iranian economy is currently in a continuous recession. The government will not easily intervene in the pillar industry of oil production due to the epidemic.

     
    Secondly, because of its high level of automation, petroleum extraction activities require less labor and are not a labor-intensive industry, so they are relatively less affected by the epidemic. Finally, the previous US oil export blockade against Iran has forced its output to shrink, which objectively limited the room for Iran's oil supply to fall further. Therefore, even though the outbreak will affect Iran's oil supply, the expected impact should be limited.

    With the approval of relevant departments, under the premise of ensuring the safety and control of health and epidemic prevention, KOSUN started construction in three batches starting from February 28. Considering the epidemic situation before the start of work, various measures were taken to ensure the health and safety of employees: arrange all employees for nucleic acid testing; disinfect the office twice a day; employees must wear masks to work, and can only enter the company after the doorman has taken a temperature measurement; prohibition Fever patients enter, and external personnel, such as handling and transporting goods, must wear masks and take temperature measurements before they are released.

    Only one week after the start of work, all work has returned to normal, and the ordered goods have been produced normally, and many new inquiries and intention orders have been received. After the holiday break, every employee re-entered the work with full enthusiasm and worked hard to overcome the adverse effects brought by the epidemic. the time of Spring blossoms, the starting point of the struggle.

  • KOSUN shares: China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau sets record for Land and Sea Directional Drilling in China

    At 5:18 on February 22, the land and sea crossing project of the Zhoushan LNG Receiving Station and Filling Station Project of Zhejiang Province, which was undertaken by the China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau, completed a one-time retraction of directional drilling at Niutoushan, creating the largest pipe diameter in China (1016 mm) , The largest water depth (27 meters) land and sea directional drilling crossing record.
     
    Undertaking the two land and sea directional drilling traversing projects of the Niutoushan and Mamu Zhoushan projects are the four companies of the China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPP) known as "pipeline special forces". The Niutoushan pipeline towed back in this construction is 1080 meters in length, the main geology is silt and silty clay, the depth of seawater is 27 meters, and the horizontal section is buried at a depth of 45 meters. The towed pipeline is prefabricated on a pipelaying vessel and towed by a land drilling rig. Pull back.

    According to reports, land-sea directional drilling has the advantages of high safety coefficient, protecting the ecological environment, and saving project investment. It is increasingly used in marine pipeline network projects, and the industry has a very bright future.
