    The purpose for KOSUN to participate in this CING exhibition is to proactively publicize clean production concept during shale gas and natural gas drilling, namely drilling waste management technology and idea of oil-base mud. Due to extensive application of oil-base mud in shale gas drilling, more attention has been paid to harm of oil-base drilling waste to nature. KOSUN also expects to show the latest turnkey solution to drilling waste management while drilling to all sectors of society at the exhibition.

  • Large Batch Shaker Screens Reordered by an Indian Customer Ready for Shipment

    Recently, KOSUN screens of LS584 shale shaker for an Indian customer have been manufactured and are under quality inspection and encasement, waiting for shipment.
     
     
     
    Since the customer ordered KOSUN LS584 shale shakers in November 2014, it has been the fourth time for the customer to purchase large batch accessories from KOSUN. Based on the customer’s feedback about his using previously purchased equipment and his requirement on OEM of accessories, KOSUN proactively made preparations for production and reasonably arranged work shifts during the National Day in order to deliver these shaker screens with guaranteed quality and in a timely manner. A few days ago, these screens had been completed within the period scheduled by the customer, and they are to be transported to the Port of Qingdao for shipment.

  • Indian Customers Favor KOSUN-made Products

    On October 24, 540 pieces of shaker screens ordered by an Indian customer were inspected and packed into containers in KOSUN factory in Jingwei Industrial Park in Xi’an. These screens are to be transported to the site of the customer through land-ocean transportation.
     
     
     
    Shale shaker is a kind of solids control equipment most commonly used in oil and gas drilling sites. Model selection and quality of shaker screens are of vital importance for handling capacity and treatment effect of shale shaker. KOSUN technical team goes deep into the drilling sites to investigate compositions and properties of various drilling mud, establishes and consummates mud information database in different regions, providing scientific references for helping customers select shaker screens according to their local conditions.
     
     
     
    KOSUN is always pursuing such a goal as “appropriate increase of service life with controllable cost” at technology and manufacturing links of screens. KOSUN team keeps improving structure design, material selection, structural welding, wire cloth laying, fluid dispensing, inspection and some other links of shaker screens. Repeatedly field-proved KOSUN shaker screens have stable performances and more 3~5 days than like products in service life under normal operating conditions.

  • KOSUN Solids Control Equipment Facilitating Oil Development in the South China Sea

    Recently, good news comes from KOSUN Marketing Center that KOSUN has won the bid for dedicated drilling fluid centrifuge used at offshore platform of a CNOOC subsidiary by virtue of its excellent product performance and perfect after-sales service system. Three DC355-VFD centrifuges (LW355×1257N-VFD) will be delivered to CNOOC Enping Oilfields, servicing at Enping-231 and Enping-181 offshore drilling platforms.

    It is worth mentioning that length-diameter ratio of the bowl for this bid-winning DC355 high speed VFD centrifuge is 355×1257 and the maximum speed is up to 3800rpm. This model has been enjoying popularity among major drilling companies and oilfield service companies after its launch on the market in 2013. It is particularly suitable for drilling waste management and has yielded extraordinary results on domestic market of drilling waste zero discharge. As core equipment for drilling fluid recovery and solids treatment and discharge, this centrifuge has excellently completed each solids control and drilling waste management task.

    These three DC355-VFD high speed decanter centrifuges winning the bid are equipped with dedicated CCS certified motors. Both anticorrosion and painting on equipment surface meet use standards of offshore drilling platform. Electrical appliances of well-known German brand are adopted for electrical control unit. The bowl adopts hard alloy empiecement process, which is stronger and more wear resistant compared with inferior ceramic empiecement technology, especially meeting remanufacturing standards for refurbishment and reinforcement of screw conveyor separately (which is impossible for ceramic empiecement). It is these advanced process and manufacturing standards that make KOSUN stand out among numerous competitors.
     
     
    Cooperation between KOSUN and CNOOC can be traced back to the year of 2007, when KOSUN provided two drilling fluid centrifuges for COSL for its PEMEX project, and since then, KOSUN has been unceasingly delivering centrifuges to offshore drilling platforms of COSL. Moreover, KOSUN centrifuges have also serviced at offshore drilling platforms in North Africa, South America and other regions and won praise from customers at home and abroad. 

  • KOSUN Drilling Waste Zero Discharge Equipment Draws Customers to Flock to Oilfield in Wushen County

    Recently, customers intensely drawn by KOSUN drilling waste zero discharge equipment (After being treated by KOSUN Hi-G dryer, the mud is ≤1.03 in specific gravity) have approached KOSUN technical service engineering team in Wushen County oilfield drilling site in Inner Mongolia from Henan, Xinjiang, etc. They examined running conditions and treatment effects of KOSUN drilling waste zero discharge equipment on the oilfield site.
     
    KOSUN technical service engineering team explained process flow of KOSUN drilling waste management system, working principles of centrifuge and Hi-G dryer to customers based on the live treatment system while drilling, and showed them excellent treatment effect of Hi-G dryer and centrifuge.     During its two-month application process in Wushen County, Inner Mongolia, KOSUN drilling waste management equipment runs stably and efficiently, facilitating the oilfield exploitation of drilling equipment. Since the equipment was successfully debugged two months ago, KOSUN drilling waste management system has had a remarkable performance and the specific gravity of mud treated by it has been not more than 1.03 both in debugging process and in service process in oilfield. The customer is fairly satisfied with the result, and speaks highly of the products of KOSUN and establishes long-term cooperation with KOSUN.

In the video, we can clearly see the very dry solids treated by KOSUN drilling waste management equipment.     On September 8, 2015, Xi’an KOSUN Machinery Co., Ltd. heard a piece of good news from its Drilling Waste Project Department in Wushen County, Inner Mongolia that the specific gravity of mud treated by KOSUN water-base drilling waste management system was not more than 1.03 (≤1.03), completely in conformity with the national mud discharge standard, which realized “zero discharge of drilling waste” and minimized the waste discharge amount.

    In the first ten days of August 2015, a technical service team of Xi’an KOSUN Machinery Co., Ltd. arrived at an oilfield in Wushen County to conduct an on-site training about drilling waste management system. Along with the launching of a drilling project, the technical service team of KOSUN rapidly and efficiently completed the installation and debugging of equipment supporting well drilling (drilling waste management system) in response to the drilling operation of a drilling company.  During the application process lasting one month, the drilling waste management equipment ran well and the water content in mud treated by Hi-G dryer was ≤1.03.

  • KOSUN High-end Decanter Centrifuge Entering the South American Market

    Recently, KOSUN hears another good news from the South American market that KOSUN reaches a supply agreement of Black Rhino decanter centrifuges with an important customer in South America through nearly two-month negotiation and communication.

    Black Rhino decanter centrifuge is a high-end one designed and developed by KOSUN independently, which is greatly improved on appearance design, raw material selection and safety device configuration than ordinary centrifuge. At the beginning of its launching, the decanting centrifuge with high configuration mainly aims at the North American and European markets.

After visiting the production line at the factory of KOSUN, the customer speaks highly of factory size, product design, production and processing of KOSUN, especially of KOSUN Black Rhino Series products.     Recently, good news of KOSUN keeps pouring in from the Russian market. Just after completion the last batch of drilling fluid solids control system to be used in Russia, an order of another batch of solids control system has been placed in KOSUN.

    This time, the order is placed by a regular customer of KOSUN in Russia, and eight years have gone by since the first cooperation between both sides in 2007. In the past eight years, polar low-temperature mud solids control systems successively provided by KOSUN have been always running well at oilfields in Russia. Both sides sign a purchase contract of polar low-temperature solid control system supporting 3000m drilling rig again this month, including LS703 shale shakers, MD210 mud cleaners, CP series centrifugal pumps, VD series vacuum degassers, etc. The system will be used at drilling blocks of Lukoil in Russia.
