    On Nov 12th, 31 young “guests” visited KOSUN Yongle Solids Control System Factory. They were recently recruited into Xi’an KOSUN Machinery Co., Ltd., which organized this study visit in factory especially for them to have a thorough knowledge of products and for their convenience at work.

    Led by the technician, the staff saw ZJ50 Solids Control System to be sent to Europe very soon and the products in Black Rhino Series on that day. During the vist, the technician made a detailed demonstration on such solids control equipment as Shale Shaker, Decanter Centrifuge, Mud Cleaner, Desilter, Desander, Vaccum Degasser, etc. and had a good communication with new staff who thereof understood more about company products.

    Prior to this, another half-month study tour in factory was also organized by HR Department for some new staff to know process flows and product features via long-term communication with workers. Then were followed by the product trainings for all new-comers as well as consequent examinations. All these together deepened their understanding of products. This time, they, who failed to participate in the previous factory training, also observed the products in person, getting a better understanding of the products and company.

    Business is as fierce as war, only the thorough knowledge of both friends and foes can help you win every battle. KOSUN attaches great significance to human resource development when they recruit great talents. Once on board, the new employees are supposed to accept an array of training classes covering corporate culture, product knowledge and service system. Turned a full member of the company, they will also have regular theme training concerned with businesses. Both of the internal and external trainings combine together to improve on staff’s overal capability.

    Via a series of trainings, new staff had a better understanding of company, which is better for their incorporation into the company, helpful for their future work and enables them to introduce the company as well as products with completeness and accuracy in the conversation with clients.

  • Big Success of KOSUN Market Expanding in Mexico

    On 29th October, two clients from a subsidiary of PEMEX came to visit our factories in Xi’an. After viewing the several production lines in Xi’an Jingwei Solid Control Equipment Factory and Xi’an Yongle Solid Control System Factory, the clients showed great satisfaction with KOSUN’s capabilities in manufacturing oil drilling solid control equipments, as well as the good quality and excellent workmanship of the equipment.

    In fact, these clients has been in contact with KOSUN since June of 2013, and sent an inquiry for 2 sets of solid control system in August. After keeping contact through phone and email for several months, the clients decided to come to visit KOSUN’s factories and also wanted to make the final decision for purchasing 2 sets of solids control system. Because of our good quality products and superior service, the clients reached a cooperation agreement with KOSUN and signed a cooperation memorandum with our International Business Director Mr. Toby on 30th. What’s more, the clients promise to help KOSUN to promote its solid control equipment in Mexican market, and also show their expectation to be the exclusive agent of KOSUN in Mexico. For future cooperation, the Mexican clients suggest KOSUN go to visit their workshop in Mexico and build a joint company with them in the local market.

    The clients have left Xi’an on 31st, and we are now busy preparing the 2 sets of solid control systems for them. Though we still need to wait for the final decision of the 2 sets of solid control system, but the recognition of the clients means our equipment can be well accepted in South American Market.

    It includes thorough examination and clean-up. The suggested procedures are like below:

    Check if the entrance sleeve for feeder is leaking and tighten it according to requirements. Wash away the deposits generated during its working from its inner wall and screens by water supply hose in each shift  since these deposits will increase load on shock absorber and lower shaker;s ability to separate solids. Besides, examine the tensioning situation and working state of screen according to related requirements in each shift. In order to prevent solid phase from losing, connection between screen and screen frame base should be firm and stable and no hole or failure be found on screen. When screens fail, they should be replaced promptly.

    Examine if horizontal support, supporting bar and lateral support deteriorate or are damaged in each shift since if they fail, screens will be destroyed. Every time when screens are replaced, check if tensioning system deteriorates or is damaged. Tensioning system is used to tension screen with tensile force and to securely fix it on screen frame base. Improper tensioning of screen will reduce its service life.

    I. Low or zero vacuum degree

    1. No rotational circulation is formed due to shortage of water in vacuum pump.

    Inject water into pump and adjust the ball valve on the pipeline to pump.

    2. Too huge gap exists between two ends of propeller

    Reduce the paper packing or replace propeller to adjust gap.

    3. The temperature in pump is too high.

    Pour more cold water inside.

    4. The linking points of bolts or discharge line are not well sealed.

    Fasten the bolts or seal the leaking point of discharge line.

    5. Suction line or discharge line do not immerse in the drilling fluids.

    Immerse it into drilling fluids.

    II. Too much power of shaft

    1. There is too much water in the pump.

    Readjust the ball valve

    2. The propeller cannot automatically adjust the gap on the shaft sleeve.

    The propeller should be able to move freely after opening pump cover, taking out propeller, readjusting gap and reinstalling it.

    III. Unusual noise is generated or it is violently shaking after starting it.

    1. Inner part of pump is damaged or invaded by solid particles.

    Open the cover and wash the pump, or replace it if it is damaged.

    2. Vacuum tank is invaded by foreign bodies.

    Open the square flange or bottom cap and remove them.

  • Installation and Maintenance of KOSUN ZYQ Liquid/Gas Separator

     Detailed Information of Liquid/Gas Separator: 

    Functions: It is an ideal equipment when oil spill or blowout is encountered and when under-balanced drilling string is applied as drilling processes. KOSUN Liquid/Gas Separator is primarily used to remove the multitude of free gas in drilling fluids, including poisonous gas like hydrogen sulfide. It is proved that it is very reliable and indispensable safety equipment. 

    Features and Advantages:　　

        1. Separate and discharge the multitude of gas in slurry system, including poisonous gas like hydrogen sulfide. 　

        2.Discharged gas will be taken to the safe area in drilling unit via discharge pipe and ignited.　

        3.The equipment is covered with corrosion-explosion coating which will extend its life span when dealing with corrosive gas. 

    Installation and Maintenance of Liquid/Gas Separator 

    Installation

    Generally speaking, the Liquid/Gas Separator is installed on the ground next to No.1 mud tank. The ground should be flat and sturdy and pre-dug with anchor bolt holes. For installation, hoisting machine should be used to lift the separator by its lifting lug perpendicular to the ground and put it down gently. Then tension its upper body with ground by means of steel cable and make sure it is perpendicular to the ground. Afterwards, cast anchor bolts and tighten the separator. 

    When it is completed, take discharge line(No.1) to where it is 60-80 meters away from wellhead(lines should be prepared by yourselves, or make it clear when making an order if lines are needed). Connect (No.2)stock inlet with rotary blowout preventer or choke manifold. Close butterfly valve of (No.6)sewage outfall and open that of (No.5)stock outlet, then connect it to No.1 mud tank via pipelines. For haulage, dismount the manifold, loosen the tightened steel cable, grasp the top of machine with hoisting machine and unscrew the anchor bolts. Its ladders can function as hauling bracket. 

    Maintenance:

    Empty the drilling fluids from equipment and wash it clean when it is used. It is forbidden to store drilling fluids in the separator since the solidified drilling mud will not be able to work normally.
