  • Gazprom’s Order with KOSUN

    In March 2011, a five-member team of technical experts and procurement managers from Gazprom came to the production base of Xi’an KOSUN Machinery Co., Ltd. in China. Russian customers visited the manufacturing factory, had business meeting and made order with KOSUN for 8 sets of solids control systems supporting 3000 meters drilling rigs.

    Gazprom is the world’s largest natural gas company, formerly known as State Gas Consortium of Russia, which is also Russia’s and the world’s largest natural gas producer. At 2010, its natural gas reserves reached 49.27 trillion cubic meters and natural gas production was 559.5 billion cubic meters, ranking as the world’s top ten gas producers. Gazprom plays a prominent role in the Russian economy, honored as the pioneer by Russian mass media, and contributed 8% of Russia’s gross national industrial production, ensuring 25% of the national budget, control of Russia’s 65%, that is, 20% of the world natural gas reserves.

    Russian customers made a special trip to Xi’an China with contract agreement about drilling rig equipment which contains Mud Solids Control System, Generator Unit, Air Compressor Unit, Well Standardized Field Circuit, MCC Room and other external support system. The three-year contract marks that KOSUN has become a major provider of drilling mud solids control system in Russian regions. The Russian customers examined the equipment carefully in the factory of KOSUN, asked questions about quality control, product design as well as other related issues, and had a deep discussion with KOSUN’s leadership and technical staff.

  • Oil Prices Rise to $83 Per Barrel on Economic News

    NEW YORK – Oil prices rose slightly on Friday and have come back from a 12-month low earlier this week.

    Friday’s rise followed encouraging news about the economy in the U.S., which is the world’s largest oil consumer. The nation added jobs last month, easing concerns about another recession. A stronger economy means more demand for energy.

    Benchmark oil climbed 39 cents to end the day at $82.98 a barrel in New York. It rose from $75.67 Tuesday, the lowest level since September 2010. That low price was prompted by worries about Europe’s debt crisis. Wall Street analysts think prices will keep rising over the next several months.

    Prices started to rise this week as financial leaders in Europe considered plans to support banks if the credit crisis were to get worse. They climbed higher on Friday after the Labor Department announced that the country added 103,000 jobs in September. The government also said that U.S. added more jobs than previously estimated in July and August.

    Analysts pointed out, however, that it will take a sustained expansion in employment to significantly boost the economy. The nation’s unemployment rate remains at 9.1 percent.

    Friday’s oil price was more than 27% below the year’s high of $113.96 reached on May 5. As oil prices have steadily declined, they have brought down gasoline prices as well. Pump prices are at a national average of $3.39 a gallon, according to AAA, Wright Express and Oil Price Information Service. Gasoline has dropped almost every day for a month. It’s about 62 cents higher than a year ago.

    In other energy commodities trading, heating oil was essentially flat, finishing at $2.8588 per gallon and gasoline futures fell 3.84 cents to end at $2.6476 per gallon. Natural gas lost 11.7 cents to finish the day at $3.481 per 1,000 cubic feet.

    Brent crude rose 15 cents to finish the day at $105.88 in London.

  • Kazakhstan Drilling Project-ZJ30 Truck-mounted Rig Assembling and Debugging

    The assembling and debugging of ZJ30 Truck-mounted Rig for KOSUN’s drilling project in Kazakhstan was completed on August 20th, 2010. This successful achievement was finished ahead of schedule with hard work of KOSUN drilling project department and the whole drilling team in 20 days.

    All the parts except the main drilling rig and well control part are manufactured and supported by KOSUN within three months at the solids control manufacturing base located in Xi’an, including the mud purification system ( shale shaker, mud cleaner, centrifuge, agitator, mud tanks and other solids control equipment ), MCC Room, well lighting system, air system, generator system, mud pumps, water and oil tanks as well as other parts.

    A completion ceremony was held in Xianyang City of Shaanxi Province where KOSUN’s drilling rig assembly site locates and this successful accomplishment remarked a better enhancement of KOSUN in drilling rig whole assembly, manufacturing and system support.

  • KOSUN Attends Russia International Oil and Gas Equipment and Technology Industrial Exhibition

    During June 23rd-27th, 2010, the four-person sales team of Xi’an KOSUN Machinery Co., Ltd. came to Russia and participated in the 14th Russia International Oil and Gas Equipment and Technology Industrial Exhibition, the team led by Mr Geng Feng, the company’s general manager and Mr Liu Yiwei, the company’s sales manager.

    The most influential and the largest oil & gas and petrochemical equipment exhibition was held by ZAO Exhibition Company and its scale has been on the increase since its establishment in 1986. It is now the most influential and largest oil & gas and petrochemical equipment exhibition in Russia and the Far East.

    Russia is very rich in oil and gas, so its oil & gas industry has been well developped and occupies an important position in native Russia. Chinese national petroleum equipment manufacturers will gain lot of opportunities to export its products to Russia, where the large-scale projects of oil & gas exploration is underway and the production equipment need to be updated regularly. Domestic oil senior personage points out that the technology level of China’s petroleum equipment adapt to the Russian market, which is promising. This exhibition gathered numerous optimal international equipment supplier and attracted many professional buyers from the oil-producing countries. Every year, KOSUN takes part in various exhibitions at home and abroad, especially those in central Asia and Russian-speaking area, which are the important target markets for KOSUN.   
     
    On the exhibition, KOSUN met more new customers as well as many old customers. Through face-to-face communication, more customers learned more infomation about KOSUN.   • The Oil Exhibition in Indonesia

    During Oct. 14-17th, 2009, the 4-person sales team led by Mr. Geng Feng, GM of KOSUN came to Jakarta, Indonesia to attend the Oil Exhibition.

    Indonesia is the largest oil & natural gas producer and the only OPEC member in Southeast Asia, with proven oil reserves of 4.7 billion barrels. As the prices of oil & gas prices continue rising, Indonesia needs to develop their production technology to keep pace with market needs. Recently, along with the new policy carried out by the government of Indonesia, many emerging opportunities were brought to oil industry. Many new fields will also be explored, in addition, the considerable oil reserves in East Indonesia attract lots of attention. The geological condition of these oilfields are complex, consisting of prehistoric tertiary strata. The successful exploration requires abundant time, labour, material, and advanced technology. Investment on cutting-edge technology today will ensure the future development of Indonesian oil industry.

    Based on international marketing, KOSUN displayed products including shale shaker, mud clearner, desander, desilter and centrifuge. Apart from these equipment, customers also showed interest in other equipment such as the sand pump, mud tank, etc. The CP Series Centrifugal Pump is designed and developed for petroleum drilling and solids control equipment.     KOSUN participated in water exhibition in Ukraine

    As the largest centrifuge manufacturer in Northwest China, KOSUN showed its latest design and technology of centrifuges on the exhibition.     The DC Series Centrifuge was displayed on the exhibition, which was made with the most mature design and technology. DC Series Decanter Centrifuge is suitable to treat drilling fluids with particle ≥2μm in diameter, solid phase concentration within 2~70% and liquid viscosity υ≤0.01Pa·sPa, and does the separation of suspended liquid and clarifies fluid which contains a small amount of solid phase, meantime it is also suitable for the work of solid phase separation in other industries.

    From Sept 8th to 11th 2009, the 3-person sales team of KOSUN attended OE Oil Exhibition in Aberdeen, UK. The team was led by Mr. Geng Feng, the GM of KOSUN.

    The OE Oil Exhibition is treated as the most important event in petroleum industry outside North America. The scientific meeting was held by U.S. Oil Industry Technology Association, which sponsored OTC, the world’s largest exhibition in natural gas industry. To share the updated technology and its implementation, the authorities and experts in petroleum and natural gas industry all gathered in this exhibition. The exhibitors were free to attend the conference. Since 1973, British OE Oil Exhibition had been held every two years and it has made a huge impact. The exhibition in 2009 attracted 1,421 exhibitors and 48,565 viewers from 94 countries.

Through it, we gained insight of future trends of oil industry, and realized how to develop our business at the international stage.   • Phase-Ⅱ of Kazakhstan-China Gas Pipeline Starts Welding

    On September 6th, phase-II of Kazakhstan-China Gas Pipeline started welding. Launching ceremony was held on the construction site in Turkistan City, Southern Kazakhstan Oblast.

    Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Shukeyev read a congratulatory letter from Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Chinese government representative Liu Tienan, who is Deputy Chairman of National Development and Reform Commission and also chief of National Energy Administration, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan Sauat Mukhametbaevich Mynbayev, KazMunayGas President Kairgeldy Kabyldin, CNPC Vice President Mr. Wang Dongjin, Governor of Southern Kazakhstan Oblast Askar Myrzakhmetov, delivered speeches at the ceremony respectively. PetroChina Vice President Mr. Sun Bo was also present at the ceremony.

    The 1,475-kilometer pipeline starts from Beyneu, Mangghystau and will meet the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline at Shymkent. Designed annual capacity of the pipeline is 10 billion cubic meters, and can be expanded to 15 billion cubic meters.

  • Six Application Areas of Mud Recovery System

     
    Sludge water recovery system is a kind of necessary equipment which can effectively solve the reduction treatment of engineering mud. It can be widely used in: construction piling mud-water separation, pipe jacking construction mud-water separation, shield subway construction mud-water separation, river sludge separation treatment, tailings mud-water separation, contaminated soil remediation and other fields.
