In January 2013, the Coalbed Methane Drilling Solids Control System jointly developed by KOSUN and an Australian Coalbed Methane Service Company for coalbed methane drilling and trenchless crossing drilling passed the inspection. This time, it will be put into use in the coalbed methane of North Australia. The client had been in partnership with Arrow Energy, the second largest coalbed methane company in Australia. Via this cooperation, KOSUN formally marched into Australian market and cemented the relationship with Australian drilling companies.

In January 2013, Xi'an KOSUN Machinery Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi GREEN Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. collaborated on a pilot program in drilling fluids and additives market and set up KOSUN Drilling Fluids Laboratory in Xi'an China. KOSUN has laid a solid scientific research foundation for the integrated service of waste management, drilling fluids supply and oil product like drilling additives by working closely with CNPC by employment of their drilling fluids experts in CNPC Drilling Institute and regular communication on latest technologies of drilling fluids and waste management with world famous oil drilling companies like SWACO/SCOMI.

In February 2013, KOSUN signed a contract with Sichuan Honghua Oil & Gas Engineering and Technology Services Co., Ltd. concerning seven sets of 2000HP Onshore Rig Mud Solids Control Systems. The technical team of Honghua assessed the factory twice and had the technical communications with KOSUN many times, and finally selected KOSUN to complete the seven sets of Onshore Rig Solids Control Systems. The cooperation between KOSUN and Sichuan Honghua increases the share of KOSUN in China's solids control industry again while at the same time means that KOSUN is already standing in the leading position in China's new drilling rig solids control market.

In April 2013, the 8-month pilot running on KOSUN Yongle Solids Control System Factory was completed and it was officially put into use. It is mainly responsible for the production and assembly of all mud tanks, water tanks, diesel tanks and camp rooms as well as the de-ragging and debugging of drilling solids control equipment and rig peripheral system. It is estimated to be able to realize an annual output of more than 50 mud circulating systems.Located in Yongle Industrial Park of Xixian District in Xianyang China, Yongle Solids Control System Factory covers 13,000m2 and is the third solids control equipment factory under Xi'an KOSUN Machinery Co., Ltd.

In June 2013, KOSUN invested a great sum of funds into the complete upgrading and retrofitting of Jingwei Solids Control Equipment Factory Block in order to further its sophisticated management. This transforming move mainly included the betterment of workshops, staff dormitories, staff canteen, and environment of the whole factory block as well as the staff dormitory. New bedside tables, storage box and chairs were bought into the dorms. Besides, some washing machines are also installed considering the difficulty the worker met while washing the clothes. The factory also changed the canteen menu in order to improve on staff's fares.

In August 2013, Russian clients inspected the whole set of ZJ40DB Low Temperature Solids Control System, which was to be sent to Siberian Lukoil Oil Drilling Block, in Yongle Solids Control System. This set of KOSUN 1000GPM orbit arctic solids control equipment can do group drilling for 10 wells at the same time and make sure the solids control system works normally under -45℃ in the alpine regions. It is designed specially by Xi'an KOSUN Machinery Co., Ltd. to match Russian Drilling Company's 1000HP Arctic Drilling Machine made by Drillmec in Italy.

In September 2013, Xi'an KOSUN Machinery Co., Ltd. was certified by American Petroleum Institute and given Certificates of Registration. This signified an international recognition on the quality of KOSUN products and a landmark for KOSUN products on their way into overseas market. API standards and regulations are generally used in all the countries for its progressiveness, versatility, security and the worldwide influence of American petroleum industry. Any oil equipment applied with APIOR marks is regarded both as having reliable quality and advanced technologies, and as a permit for domestic and foreign oil equipment markets.

In September 2013, KOSUN 750HP, 1000HP, 1500HP, 2000HP Solids Control Systems got the passport into EU market after officially going through all the CE conformity assessment procedures. CE marking is mandatory within European Union market and is necessary for free marketability of the products made both by internal EU companies and foreign companies in EU market. The success with CE application officially knocked the gate of EU market open for KOSUN solids control system and paves the way into EU market for solids control system made by KOSUN.

In November 2013, KOSUN ZJ50 Drilling Solids Control System supported for a European drilling company was accepted by the customer. ZJ50 Drilling Solids Control System which contains two LS833 Shale Shakers, two Decanter Centrifuges, a Mud Cleaner, a Vacuum Degasser and six Mud Tankers, is all painted orange. Before the order with KOSUN, they consecutively contacted several Chinese and foreign solids control factories for negotiations. After rounds of comparisons on qualifications, products, techniques and processes, they finally decided upon KOSUN as their partner.

In November 2013, KOSUN Black Rhino Shale Shaker and Centrifuge Series were officially put into production. The Black Rhino Series being manufactured mainly contains shale shakers and centrifuges. Black Rhino Linear Shale Shakers generally comprises such two types as Black Rhino I and Black Rhino II. Black Rhino Series are actually the optimized and upgraded version made out of its 20-year production experience. It has drawn a lot of attention and recognition from numerous customers after its debut display on Shanghai CIPPE in August 2013.
