KOSUN HSE Winter Fire Drill Finished Successfully
Dec 26, 2014
On September 19, 2014, KOSUN HSE Winter Fire Drill was conducted at the production base of Xi’an Jingwei Industrial Park, aiming at increasing the fire safety awareness of front-line employees and popularizing the knowledge about how to use fire-fighting equipment for escape in case of fire.
Simulated Fire Scene at an Open Space in the Factory
The simulated fire scene was at an open space before the Office Building of Production Department. The firemen from Shaanxi Xi’an Fire Fighting Detachment explained the HSE management system knowledge of oil industry to all staff in the factory and guided them in the fire drill. Both department heads and all staff attached great importance to the drill, and the participants seriously and earnestly treated the drill, which basically met the actual requirements.
When the drill began, a worker discovered a fire in the factory, immediately reported the case to the responsible person of Safety Command Office and simulatively dialed the emergency numbers 119 and 120. The responsible person promptly established a rescue command group, set a temporary on-site command venue and informed all rescue teams at top speed.

The command group rapidly led all staff to leave the fire scene for a safe location and counted noses. Meanwhile, rescue teams arrived at the designated place and mustered. In the principle of “minimizing personal and property losses”, they quickly conducted a rescue. When the fire was extinguished, the Safety Command Office announced the emergency state was over.
Temporary On-site Rescue Command Group
Through organizing and conducting the fire drill, KOSUN enhanced the employees’ capability in dealing with fire and emergency accidents, improved the emergency plan, checked and completed fire-fighting equipment, and guaranteed the safe production of factory.
