Structural Characteristics of Decanter Centrifuge

Decanter Centrifuge realizes solid-liquid separation mainly in the rotating drum. Rotary drum, auger, differential, etc. form a rotating assembly, which is supported by two main bearings, and the bearing seat is horizontally fixed on the machine base. The auger is concentrically placed in the drum through the angular contact bearing and the roller bearing. The auger is connected with the differential spline sleeve through the spline shaft. The main motor transmits power to the drum through the pulley. The auxiliary motor transmits power to the differential through the auxiliary pulley and is connected with the first-stage sun gear.
1) Drum: It consists of a cylindrical section and a conical section cylinder, and the right end is the big end shaft of the drum, the differential, the connecting disc and the pulley of the auxiliary motor. The left end is a small end shaft, a main motor pulley and a feed pipe. Ribs are welded on the inner walls of the cylindrical section and the conical section of the drum to prevent the material from slipping in the circumferential direction. The small cone end of the conical section is circumferentially provided with a slag discharge port from which the solid phase is discharged. There is an overflow port on the big end shaft of the drum, and the clarity of the discharged liquid phase can be controlled by adjusting the position of the overflow plate. The pulley of the main motor and the coupling plate of the differential are respectively connected with the big and small end shafts by keys.
2) Screw pusher: The screw pusher is mainly composed of a cylindrical section, a material accelerator, a partition plate, a spiral blade and other welded combinations, as well as shafts, bushings and bearings at both ends. The spiral belt on the pusher screw is left-handed with two ends, and tungsten-chromium cemented carbide is spray-welded on the pusher surface at the cone end of the spiral belt; In order to achieve the best wear-resistant treatment effect. The pusher screw is connected with the internal spline of the differential by a spline shaft. Because of the differential, there is a certain speed difference between it and the drum, and the purpose of pushing out solid materials is achieved.
3) Transmission mechanism: it consists of main and auxiliary motors, main and auxiliary pulleys, left and right main bearings of outer drum, planetary gear differential, etc. Differential is the most important and precise component in centrifuge (differential transmission schematic is shown in Figure 1). The differential adopts 2K-H type two-stage planetary gear transmission. Sun gear and planetary gear are hardened, which has high bearing capacity.
4) Protective measures for the whole machine:
In order to protect the safe operation of the main engine, the machine has taken two protective measures:
a. the main motor is equipped with YOX400 hydraulic coupling, which is convenient for the motor to start smoothly and protect the motor after overload;
b. The torque overload protection device is installed at the input shaft end of the differential. Due to the change of materials or improper feed control, centrifuges are prone to material blockage, which will increase the working torque of the screw discharger and even cause machine damage. In this case, the butterfly spring on the main shaft of the differential will slip, which will make the camshaft move in the direction and trigger the travel switch to stop the machine automatically, thus protecting the differential and the auger from being damaged.
