Firebird Energy Acquires Chevron Midland Basin Assets

Firebird Energy announced that it has recently completed the acquisition of Chevron's operating assets in the Midland Basin. The acquisition includes approximately 21,000 acres of assets (99% operating area) in Ector, Midland, Crane and Upton counties.
Dominion Energy: Completes sale of Questar Pipelines
Dominion Energy announced on Friday the completion of the sale of the Questar transmission pipeline project to Southwest Gas Holdings in a transaction valued at $1.975 billion, including the assumption of $430 million in existing debt. The deal was previously announced on October 5, 2021.
Aker BP obtains drilling license for three wells in the North Sea
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Aker BP a license to drill three wells in the Norwegian North Sea. Aker BP is the operator of the license with a 40% ownership interest, with other licensees including Equinor (40%) and Lotos Exploration and Production Norge (20%).
U.S. shale drillers face record cost pressure
Oil drillers are incurring record costs as some banks become increasingly reluctant to lend to oil drillers in the largest U.S. oil fields, data from the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank showed. The cost of equipment, leases and other inputs for oil explorers and the contractors they employ soared to record highs in the quarter, the Dallas Fed said in a report on Wednesday. Drillers also found fewer banks willing to lend in the 11th Federal Reserve District, which includes parts of Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico.
