Composition of KOSUN Large Shale Gas Drilling Mud Station

Due to the characteristics of shale, oil-based mud has become the key to shale gas drilling. The shale gas drilling solids control system is a system equipment specially used to deploy oil-based mud for shale gas drilling.
The mineral composition of shale is relatively complex. In addition to common clay minerals such as kaolinite, montmorillonite, and illite, it is also mixed with minerals such as quartz, feldspar, mica-calcite, dolomite, pyrite, and apatite. Clay minerals are easily swelled in contact with water, which affects normal drilling and causes downhole complexities such as wellbore collapse. At the same time, it causes drilling fluid pollution and reduces production capacity in the later stage of production. This is the main reason for the use of oil-based mud.

KOSUN large-scale shale gas drilling mud station is composed of 8 parts: mixing and cleaning system, pipeline transfer system, conveying system, solid-liquid separation system, mud mixing system, mud storage system, electric control system and mud laboratory. The basic working process of the large-scale shale gas drilling mud station is as follows: the mud in the mud pool is stirred and cleaned by the stirring and cleaning system, transported to the solid-liquid separation system through the conveying equipment and pipeline transfer equipment for separation, and then passed through the mixing system. Mix and prepare the pulp, and finally store it in the pulp storage system for later use.
